Spend the Saint Nicholas Day in our Miniature Park where Santa Claus has already parked his sleigh. You are accompanied by a helper of Santa Claus who will tell you exciting stories about the individual lighthouses. He will kindle a fire, fire a gun, and much more.

A weekend in November does not have to be cold and boring. Many tourists enjoy instead an informative and exciting day in our Miniature Park. To warm up, we offer not only coffee and tea also, suitable to the season, mulled wine. If it rains we have enough umbrellas so that everyone stays dry.

Leon Wzorek was since 1920 the first Polish lighthouse keeper of the former German lighthouse in Rozewie. Previously, he served as a seaman in the Polish Navy. After the outbreak of WW2 in 1939, he remained in spite of evacuation at the lighthouse to operate it further. Unfortunately, he was captured by the Nazis and executed. In 1945, his brother Władysław took over the position of the lighthouse keeper and from 1973 the son of Leon Wzorek - Zbigniew. Even today a plaque at the lighthouse remembers Leon Wzorek.

In our Café in Kowary you can see all the awards that our Miniature Park in Kowary has received so far. Recently a price was added. Earlier this week Marian Piasecki (founder and owner of the Miniature Parks) received another award from the city Kowary. The Mayor of Kowary - Mirosław Górecki congratulated for a decade of Miniature Park in Kowary. Just two months ago, Marian Piasecki received the Medal of Merit of Lower Silesia. This prestigious award is given to people who have made an outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of Lower Silesia in Poland and abroad.

In 1822 the French physicist Augustin Jean Fresnel invented a optical lens which was originally used in lighthouses. By the division into annular regions the volume of the lens could be reduced while maintaining the same focal length. Due to the much higher light intensity, the Fresnel lens revolutionized the lighthouse technology.

Today a large group of senior citizens from the township of Rewal visited our Miniature Park. It was part of an campaign which helps older people to stay active and our Miniature Park is perfect for such an occasion.

With the beginning of the school year the Miniature Park is visited by many school classes. Many children and teenager currently enjoy an interesting history lesson with our park guides.

The hot summer days are over and now begins the season for reflection, autumn. Each miniature brings a little sunshine in the gloomy autumn days. Spend a little time in our beautiful miniature landscape.

We offer our visitors a shuttle service from and to their hotel in our Mini-Bus. We drive daily a couple of times to several hotels close to the Park to pick up guests. Information are available at your hotel reception or by calling +48 691 977 977. Depending on the distance a single trip costs between 5-7 Złoty. You will be transported in a comfortable Mercedes Vito with seven seats by one of our friendly drivers.

Today we present to you our newest exhibit: a cannon. Why a cannon in the Miniature Park of lighthouses?

On the Hel peninsula a sound signal was sent at poor visibility as a navigational aid next to the light signal. From the 19th century to 1930 in the form of cannon shot. All four minutes the lighthouse keeper fired a shot.

From now on we also regularly fire a shot at the Park to celebrate this unique activity.

The woman who worked the longest as a lighthouse keeper is Weronika Łozicka. She worked for 20 years in the Stilo lighthouse. For 18 years worked Alina Żuckowska in the lighthouse Jarosławiec. The lighthouse in Niechorze was also operated for some time by a woman. Małgorzata Brodnicka worked about 10 years in Niechorze.

The female lighthouse keepers were able to run quickly up the spiral stairs, they knew the entire electrical system of the lighthouses and of course also knew how to change the 1000 watt lightbulbs.

Further evidence that women are able to do original "men's jobs" very efficient.

On Sunday, September 8th the visitors of the Miniature Park were able to follow the engagement of Marta and Henryk. A 20 meter long banner with the inscription "Marta will you marry me?" was erected on the lawn in the Park. From the top of the lighthouse Marta was able to read the poster and said, "YES!" Lighthouses and women have certain similarities as they both illuminate the dark moments of life.

The highest lighthouse in Poland is the lighthouse Świnoujście which is 68 m tall.

The smallest lighthouse in Poland is the lighthouse Jastarnia which is just 13.5 m tall.

The highest located lighthouse in Poland is the lighthouse Kikut. It is located on a 76 m high cliff.

The oldest lighthouse in Poland is the lighthouse Rozewie. It exists since 1822.

The youngest lighthouse in Poland is the lighthouse Port Północny in Gdańsk. It was put into operation in 1984.

The lighthouse with the strongest light is the lighthouse Rozewie. Its light is visible over 48 km.
